The 2024 FAAS Sustainability Day, held on 27 November in Stockholm, was a resounding success, bringing together around 100 participants, including FAAS members and key stakeholders from the automotive aftermarket sector.
The comprehensive agenda featured critical discussions on topics such as the implementation of CSRD and CS3D, End-of-Life Vehicle Regulations (ELVR), PCF reporting, and opportunities within the circular economy.
On the second day of the event, after a series of insightful presentations and discussions in Stockholm, the participants had the opportunity to experience how the efficient recycling of car parts is carried out in practice. A visit to LKQ Atracco’s dismantling plant in Uppsala showed a perfect example of the responsible and effective use of resources by extending the lifecycle of vehicle parts.
